So I'd chosen my trucking school, ma paid for it, and I showed up for the first day. Welcome. Smiling faces, hand shakes, and piles and piles of paperwork on each desk. No party hats (they really should have party hats) but, oh well, what do they know?



What they didn't teach me in school I made up for it in these last ten years of driving. So yes a JD Truck Training Centre school will teach you of all the CDL requirements that you need to know to pass a DOT test and get on the road. But what you need is a head start in trucking to get you prepared to the many challenges you will face.

We all know what it means to change lanes. You are merging from one side of the road to the other. But now you are a trucker and that makes all the difference. Having your CDL license and operating a big truck is all the difference between you and the regular cars out there on the road.

I remember when the Truck driving school was teaching me how to meet all the CDL requirements. They taught me how to back up, shift and do lane changes and everything. But the real deal of getting loaded, to driving through the mountains is another thing.

What a difference we could make if each person uplifted another each day. Just like doubling a penny every day for thirty days results in several million dollars, our acts of kindness, encouragement and acknowledgment would multiply as well to touch more people that we could ever imagine, simply having the self confidence to care about others first.

If you don't like your experience and the students coming out of the school aren't satisfactory to the companies they go to work for then the school is going to die a long, slow death. Nobody will HR Truck Licence want to attend. So they will get straight to work filling you with information.... and tons of it.

This job's main advantage is that you get to see places where you have never been. Even though it might scare you at first, with a map and precise directions you shouldn't worry about it. From the seaside to the mountains and deserts, you will see everything. If you go in different states and meet new Truck licence people, you will learn new accents and customs. It is all about making a living and at the same time live your life. When you will grow old, and you will have grandchildren, you'll be able to tell them that you've seen many places in your life, and even help them with geography.

To be a professional truck driver, making the big money behind the wheel of a big truck is what you do.
